June Contest - Voting Closed + Bad News

~UPDATE (October 6): Hello again Kittywub! Just wanted to let you all know I'm still alive and kickin'. Been a crazy 3 months but I am hopefully gonna be on here to check up on the group a little more now. I'm not quite ready to resume the contests again, not sure when I will but I still have all the points I've received as donations (plus some) that I am saving for when I start up the contests again. Just want to say thanks for your patience and support, it means a lot. I've got a little more than 2 years of treatment left but I'm halfway through the worst of it! Anywho, hope you all had a good weekend, I'll be back ~

The doctors say I will get to go home Thursday as long as I don't get any infections, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. They are taking awesome care of me here and giving me everything I need. ~

So I have some unfortunate news.
I was diagnosed with Leukemia on June 23. I have been in the hospital getting treatment the last couple days and I was just started on Chemotherapy this morning. Due to my treatment, I will be pretty under the weather for a little while so I probably won't be on here much for the next month or so, depending on how I feel, and how soon I get to go home.

I will hopefully be out of the hospital in 1-4 weeks, depending on how my body deals with the treatment. While I am here in the hospital, I don't get good internet access from my room, so I might not be back on until I can get home again and start my out-patient treatment.

Just want you all to know, the doctors are very optimistic about my recovery and I am being as optimistic as I possibly can. I am getting the best treatment they have to offer, and they are taking great care of me here. The type of leukemia I have is curable, so when I get better all depends on how my body takes the treatment. I am lucky because they caught the disease fairly early.


Due to this I need to end the voting period a day early, and there unfortunately will be no contest next month, but as soon as I am feeling better I will resume the contests! Hopefully by August

So we didn't get as many votes this time around as I was hoping. Only 7 submissions received votes, and no one got over two votes each, so I am going to do this in the best way I can. All deviants who received 2 votes will be awarded 10 points (first place tie for all) and all who received one vote will be awarded a second place prize of 5 points each, since there are more than one. Very sorry, and I was hoping more people would have voted All winners will still receive Llama Badges and have their winning submissions added to the Contest Winners folder. Also, there is no third place winners. Sorry for any confusion.
